By 1995, interest in Beanie Babies had significantly declined. However, in 1996, Ty Inc. came out with Teenie Beanies, a smaller version of the original toys. To mark the 17th anniversary of Beanie Babies in 1997, they were included in McDonald’s Happy Meals. Although Ty Inc. ceased operations in 1999, the company resumed production in 2000 due to popular demand, introducing a Beanie Baby called ‘The Beginning.’ In 2008, Ty Inc. released a new line called Beanie Babies 2.0, which included a code for an interactive online experience, though that website is no longer available.
